Licensing, in three parts

Three components Effective 2026-11-06

Veizik is not one licence. Three separate things carry their own terms: the Runtime we build, the model weights you supply, and how you run it. This page is the map; the binding texts are the LICENSE in each download and the Terms.

The short version

Running Veizik on your own hardware — for yourself, for development, or for evaluation inside your own company — is free. Serving its output to other people, as a product or an API, needs a separate written agreement whether or not you charge for it. The model weights are the publishers' own, and some carry their own commercial or territory limits.

1The Runtime — our software

The Veizik Runtime (the native engine, its openers and the veizik command) is proprietary software, © LinkPick. The distribution licence ships inside every download and is published at the release repository.

  • Free of charge for personal, educational, research and evaluation use — including evaluation inside a company or institution (LICENSE §2a).
  • Benchmarking is explicitly permitted: running, measuring and publishing numbers about the Runtime needs no permission (LICENSE §4). Our own method is at Reproduce.
  • Commercial use — production work, client delivery, advertising, or use as a component of a paid service — needs a separate commercial licence from LinkPick (LICENSE §2b).

The licence is enforced per device: activating a machine issues an entitlement bound to it, not a file you copy. See Terms §04.

2The model weights — the publishers' own

Veizik ships no model weights. You download the open-weight checkpoint from its publisher and point the Runtime at it. Each model stays under its own publisher's licence; Veizik neither redistributes nor relicenses it, and naming a model as supported grants you no rights to its weights.

Those licences differ, and several restrict commercial use or territory — Stable Diffusion 3.5 (Stability AI Community Licence — free below USD $1M annual revenue, and it requires a “Powered by Stability AI” notice on what you build), the FLUX.1 family (two different licences), the Tencent Hunyuan models (not licensed in Korea, the EU or the UK), and others. 3How you run it — on your machine, or as a service

On your own machine is the free grant. veizik run, veizik chat and a veizik serve bound to your own loopback — for yourself, your development or internal evaluation — are covered by the free grant in section 1.

Serving other people is a separate licence. veizik serve answers over HTTP. The moment its responses are made available to anyone who is not you — as a product, an API, a SaaS, or a render / inference service, and whether or not you charge for it — you are hosting the Software as a service, and that needs a separate written agreement from LinkPick before you start (LICENSE §2b and §3b). A free public endpoint is not an exception. This is the clause that most often applies to a team putting Veizik behind an internal or customer-facing endpoint.

Not sure which side you are on? If a person who is not you receives a generation from your copy of Veizik, you are serving. Write to support@veizik.com and we will sort out the right agreement.

4What you generate

The text, images and video you generate are yours to use, subject to the model's own licence (section 2). Image and video builds write a machine-readable provenance mark recording the content as AI-generated; this is required by law (EU AI Act Art. 50(2); Korean AI Framework Act Art. 31(2)), is not a visible watermark, and does not restrict your commercial rights. Detail: Terms §05 and AI transparency.

5A commercial or hosting licence

For production use, client delivery, advertising, or serving Veizik to other people, LinkPick issues a separate licence. Tell us what you are building and on what hardware and we will scope it: support@veizik.com.
