Veizik for Apple Silicon — 2026.10.02
Veizik for Apple Silicon. One signed package that reads supported safetensors checkpoints directly and runs eight language models on the machine you already have. 4.8 MB installed.
This page records the state as of 2026-10-02 and is not updated as the catalogue moves. For what runs now, see models.
What this build does
- Eight models run from the original checkpoint. There is no conversion step and no second copy on disk.
- Long prompts generate faster than the previous release on every Mac the engine lane measured. The figures are not on this site yet: they were taken on development binaries, and this site only publishes numbers measured on the package you can download.
- `veizik serve` no longer needs a model named. Leave it out and it hosts every model installed on the machine, routing each request by its "model" field; /v1/models lists what it is hosting.
- The licence is leased into memory for a short window. The first run of a session waits for it; the runs that reuse it start in well under a second and finish with the internet switched off.
- 4.8 MB installed — 4,843,657 bytes in 43 files, summed from the published disk image by brand/stage_release.py.
- Signed with a Developer ID and notarised by Apple; the image carries SHA256SUMS over its other 49 files.

- Platform
- macOS on Apple Silicon (arm64)
- Install size

- Verification
- The file name, size and SHA-256 are printed on this page and on the release page, and the two agree. The disk image is signed with a Developer ID and notarised, and carries SHA256SUMS covering its other 49 files, so `shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS` checks the contents after you open it.

Fixed issues
- Generation slowed down more than it should have as a conversation got long. On the previous release that cost up to a quarter of the rate on some Macs; on this one the engine lane measured no case slower than the 2026-09-30 build.
Known issues in 2026.10.02
- Headless enrolment is not enabled: every device is activated through a browser.
- The first run of a session waits for the licence before it starts. Runs that reuse the in-memory lease do not.
- The benchmark board on this site carries no figures for this release yet. Every published comparison was measured on the previous build's cores and is held rather than reused; the board returns when this package has been measured.
